Quite ofen I get asked a question which I find a little strange.. Indian friends ask me, non-Indian friends ask me, complete strangers ask me

  “Why do you love India & Indians so much?”

 When I hear this question, every time my mind goes completely blank, then immediately I get quite annoyed (why should they care who I like!!) (in my mind only) my facial expression doesn’t change I slowly calm myself down and say

 ”I always have liked Indians (so true) I find they have such similar interests as me, and they share my love of cricket.”

and you can add (what I’m thinking to myself in my head) also I think they key thing here is RESPECT . now I know I can’t put every Indian into the same catergory (just as no-one can put every Australian into the one catergory) BUT the majority of Indians that I have met (either in real life or online) I love it how they respect their culture, their parents, their brothers & sisters, their country, their faith.. and I find this inherent “sweetness” in every nice Indian guy I have met (and fyi, one of the worst guys I have ever met was also Indian , so I’m not just blinded by good experiences here!) I can’t say what it is.. but Indian guys will talk about their Mums to me, they’ll tell me they love children, they agree with the values I hold dear to me (marriage, family etc) where as I just rarely see this ever happen in an Australian guy. … why?

What Mary wants to do with Harman

• Watch a cricket match at the WACA ground
• Listen to him talk for as long as he wants, face-to-face.
• Watch the movie Mohabbatein
• Have dinner with Harman & my family
• Surprise him one day!
• Practice something so I can beat Harman at some type of sport! (not swimming)

What Harman wants to do with Mary

• Listen to Mary talk and talk and talk….
• Casually walk besides the beach, enjoying the waves and listening to what she has to say.
• Play Cricket with her.
• Show her Punjab.
• Sing a song for her for two reasons- a) she loves hindi songs b) I am really bad at singing, so it would take my best to sing her one.(Something special for someone special)
• Sketch her
